In developing our power cells with the highest energy densities on the market, K2 conducted hundreds of DoE (Design of Experiments) using the latest statistical software to optimize and increase the already long life of a typical LFP battery. Through this process, K2 was able to timely deliver custom pack solutions engineered to meet the specific needs of our customers.

 

POWERFUL

Delivering over 4,200A out of the LFP300HPS, K2's technology can meet even the most demanding application requirements—from starting a locomotive to powering an F1 racer, or even cold starting a tractor at -20F, or delivering a full 10 hours workout on a trolling motor application with quicker charge time than a standard lead-acid unit.

K2 Energy is devoted to advancing the use of rechargeable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries that can replace outdated battery chemistries like Lead-acid, NiCd, NiMH, and standard lithium. Our batteries are designed to offer extremely long cycle life, high energy capacity, outstanding power performance, and quick charge times, while simultaneously being environmentally conscious and promoting energy security.

Our rechargeable LFP batteries use no harmful heavy metals and can be recycled, that's IF you ever wear one out. With an estimated 10 year plus life span, you'll be using these units for a long time. Every year over 15 billion batteries are produced and sold worldwide. In sharp contrast to our rechargeable LFP Batteries, many are single use alkaline batteries that are quickly used and then thrown away. Other rechargeable batteries like Lead-Acid, NiCd, and NiMH have limitations on cycle life and performance. These rechargeable batteries have heavy metals and toxic compounds which are harmful to the environment and require special disposal. Traditional lithium-ion batteries (LCO) offer benefits but suffer from a limited life and the safety concerns of thermal runaway.

 The K2 Energy Trolling Motor Batteries K2B12VE27-2 48 Amp/hr Extreme Angler and the K2B12VE27 28.8 Amp/hr Lake Master Lithium Ion Phosphate Battery is the ultimate in weight versus power technology. This is a drop in replacement for your Lead-acid battery, and will require no change to your stock charging system. K2 Energy’s Marine Trolling Battery is the answer for any fisherman who needs reliable power under wide ranges of temperature and frequent downtimes. K2 Marine Trolling Battery packs are ~30% more efficient than lead acid with faster charging times and can sheds up to 50 lbs from each battery* from a common bass boat. This means you get to the fish faster and more time with fish on. LifePO4 contains no poisonous lead, no acid, and do not create gasses during charge, as traditional Lead-Acid batteries do. Compared to lead-acid, Lithium Ion Phosphate batteries are also extremely light, have much lower self-discharge, do not sulfate, and are environmentally friendly. Because of its light weight, safety, excellent thermal stability, good electrochemical properties and high specific capacity is this application of the material very well received.
